Ballet X Ballet Live at Takeda Theater at The Platform | Cambridge – November 21st, 2026
Takeda Theater at The Platform is a hidden gem that really packs a punch when it comes to immersive performance spaces. Opened in 2012, it boasts a stunning custom-made stage frame from Italy that instantly elevates any production. It’s the kind of theater that balances technical brilliance with a warm, inviting vibe, perfect for shows that push boundaries and invite audiences into new worlds. Back in 2017, Takeda Theater hosted the inaugural global conference on immersive performance, putting it on the map as a hub for innovative art. The foyer features an ongoing display by regional artist Hana Kim, showcasing local cultural themes in vibrant, thought-provoking pieces since 2014, something you definitely want to check out before the show. In 2019, the theater became a digital stage of sorts, hosting a major online broadcast by the band Solar Echo that drew viewers from around the globe. Navigating your way there is pretty straightforward; it’s right next to the gallery space. Just head toward the main lift near the cafeteria and take the second floor up, then follow the signs. Ballet X Cambridge has performed here, and it’s honestly one of those spaces that makes you feel like you're part of something bigger, something truly special.
